»Floppy Dee Drums«
»Friday-13-OMFG«
Good evening, good morning, good afternoon!? Let's just say "Hi". Wherever you are on the world right now, of course you're right here (if you'd expected the official Floppy Dee site). Even if this looks more like a newspaper than a website, the previous transition page was a disaster. Creating a brand new website is always kind of hard. The problem starts with a good design and takes a lot of time, just like the upcoming album. Some questions and its answers in relation to the current situation of my "band" and the new album are listed on the right side under "What is Floppy Dee?".

Please consider that the "FDREC" (stands for "Floppy Dee Records") as well as the "Contact" links won't work yet. Use my social links to contact me instead. The official Floppy Dee Records host is currently down for a rebuild. Later, you'll have a much better overview of all my music, videos and photographs on FDREC, which is going to be my new official label site insteaed of Jamendo.
That's it for the moment. Thanks for being here, and don't be shy to ask me, if there are any questions.

Talk to you soon (TTYS).

»What is Floppy Dee?«

This is me, Floppy Dee, born in October 1988. I’m a solo-artist, producer, web developer- and designer and a (more or less good) photographer from Emden, Germany (East Frisia). I officially started on March, 6th 2007, the day when I registered my Floppy Dee artist account on MySpace. Later that year I founded my own web-recording label “Floppy Dee(.com) Records”.

Before I wrote my first EP “Climate Change” in early 2008, some short non-special demos were released on the web. After the debut EP came out online, I searched and found three guys for playin’ some live-shows near my hometown. In the end we only played three concerts (ever). “Use Your Mind” released in November 2008. The last show (yet) was on April, 4th 2009. The band broke up later due to different personal views and I kept on writing my full-length debut album “The Small Disappears, The Great Approaches” which came out in January 2010.

Since April 2010, the upcoming album is still in work. My latest single “Swept Clean” came out on February, 24th this year.

Questions and Answers
  • Who plays the instruments on your releases?
All instruments like drums, bass, guitar and vocals were recorded step-by-step on my own, thanks to my fast computer.

  • How would you describe your genre of music?
Something between High-School-Punk, Punkrock and a softer variety of Hardcore Punk.

  • Will you play some concerts soon and where?
Hopefully! This is always depending on if I find a band, a dry practice room (very hard to find in our small wet village) and how fast we can learn the setlist. Where? First of all anywhere in the north of Germany, because of our low budget and my (our) publicity. In times like these it is very very hard to keep up with a huge number of great bands.

  • When will you finally release the new album?
You would really still ask me this question? … Really? Alright, the guys of you who know me since „Climate Change“ already know that it always takes decades before I'm done. Believe me, I'm going crazy every further day of delays. I always do my work as perfect as I can.
If you still have personal questions, please ask me over my social connections, which you can find on top of this page.

Help
Do you have problems with my free album downloads? Here’s your personal guide:
  1. Go on top of this page and click on „Music“. A new tab (window) opens my artist profile on Jamendo.
  2. Scroll down until you can see mask faces- and green x-ray skull covers *g*.
  3. Chose the one you want, to get on the next (album-) page.
  4. Now you should see the two „Play“ and „Download“ buttons.
  5. Click the download button. Another window opens up with a download button again. Click it.
  6. Save the .zip file wherever you want on your computer and unzip the files outside of this .zip file using WinZip or WinRar (for example) into your music folder.
  7. If nothing happens, (no download window opened up) try these steps later again. Sometimes the Jamendo server is „down due to maintenance“.
